Yes, it's cheating. I was doing it merely to see what effect crouching would have on being able to dodge lateral swings. Thinking that maybe my timing was wrong, I decided to just walk around in crouch and noticed that the lateral swings stopped.
I just noticed that moving around constantly crouched makes the AI resort to only overhead swings. However, I feel the AI still usually hits me with lateral swings if I crouch as a response, so I don't think the AI should just be using overheads.
Abstract
Slash and backslash (or vice versa) can be chained together using feint. How is this different from remise, which also chains slash and backslash? I did an analysis on timing as well as the use of these skills in combat.
