The game engine and physics look absolutely unbelievable. Not to mention the battles. Really really impressed.

Have backed on kickstarter straight away. Really hope you get funded.

The only thing I'd say is that your kickstarter video starts very slowly. People have short attention spans and the kickstarter pitch needs to capture their imagination straight away. Your pitch is great but it opens with you talking while standing in front of a brick wall for the first 2 minutes and 16 seconds and this could be seriously detrimental as people may switch off before they ever get to see the absolutely phenomenal game engine you've developed.

HI, great looking game! I hope you`ll get the amount you need on kickstarter, but i see that the start is not that great so far what i don`t understand. However I`d like to pledge but I don`t have a credit card, I can`t pledge through kickstarter. I could pledge through paypal, I`ve seen that as an option with other kickstarter projects. Is this an option for your game?

Hi psychoo. Thanks! You can already pledge via paypal. Just click home at the top of this page. Halfway down the page you will come across our scroll of greater funding. We have the same basic reward structure as on Kickstarter. Hope this helps and thanks again

Don't worry, we are keeping track of those too! The insider forum hasn't gone live yet, it will once the Kickstarter campaign is over as we don't get a list of backers until then. Will keep you posted!

The frequent downloadable footage of features as they're being developed, how frequent are we talking, and will having to commentate footage and work on editing/uploading videos often cut into the development process?

If you guys didn't know already - the game is going to be covered over at indiegames.com at some stage this week as part of a UK feature. Hopefully that will attract some new investors.

Your kickstarter video was very informative. Having seen such a splendid prototype of your game makes it clear what you guys are trying to achieve.​

I also find the kickstarter video to come across really professionally. You are not making wild claims and empty promises like some kickstarter projects or amateurs in game development. Everything you say, you show. Which makes for a very strong presentation.​

I have a strong impression that Madoc Evans has spent a lot of time and effort to make this project a reality. Kudos to Madoc and team Bare Mettle for having started on their dream project. I'm very excited about your game and I like a lot about it.​

Saying that you have no specific stretch goals might seem indecisive or not ambitious enough, especially to an audience which pledges money on the project, but to me it really confirms that you guys are realistic and smart about it. This project is innovative in ways and quite ambitious too. I trust that you will give it your best with the limited time and funds that you have.​

I cannot praise you enough because Sui Generis looks like a game I would love to play, given it doesn't fall into some poor design (and concept) pitfalls in both story and game mechanics along the way. I would very much like you to pursue a path of originality, especially with such unique combat mechanics.​

Sorry for taking so long to reply, been stupidly busy. Don't worry about using a different email address for Paypal and the forums, or the lack of a confirmation email, we get a specific reference for the donations which we'll use to export and merge with the list of Kickstarter backers before assigning the rewards etc. once the campaign ends. If there's any problem at that point we can sort it out, there's records of everything in gmail and Paypal anyway. Assuming of course we don't fail!! If Kickstarter does fail, we'll offer refunds to anyone that used Paypal. We will still make this bloody game though, one way or another!!

Regardless of if the kickstarter fails or not (it must not!), I really do suggest that you open up pre-orders and advertise them in a similar way to the Overgrowth guys (a video and a new alpha almost every week). It seems like a lot of trouble, but my perception is that they have been extremely successful.

They have been successful, yes, but they already made a name for themselves with Lugaru, so they were already known, while Bare Mettle is a completely new company without any previous work (afaik).

We will still make this bloody game though, one way or another!!

I really hope so. This game needs to be done. It sounds terrific, it already looks terrific and I'm sure it will turn out to be terrific.

Will the paypal options still be up if kickstarter fails? My backup plan was jumping all over that to resubmit my 40 whateverthatEsymbolcurrencyis right back to you if KS doesn't work out, but hopefully I won't have to worry and you'll meet your goals.
