NWN 2, Multi Party Mode?

I recently bought Neverwinter Nights 2. Me and my friend want to play online in two separate parties but we have no idea how. Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried googling it. Hence, why I asked here. For some reason, the answer doesn't seem to be anywhere on the internet. Not the wikis, the forums, anywhere. I asked here because I know some of the people on here play (or have played) and might be able to help me out.

Well I've never dabbled with multiplayer in NWN2. Playing in two seperate parties you say? Never heard of anything like that really.

Instead of running through the campaign together, just play on this server: http://bgtscc1.com/forum/ Im one of several devs there "IamDeathComeForThee" and there isn't a better server out there I'd say.:)

Here's some snapshots of one of the latest areas I've made, an evil stronghold called Darkhold if you're familiar with D&D lore: http://bgtscc1.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=31261 I may be biased, but the numbers of ppl online compared to other servers speak for itself. It's much more fun then the OC.

Have you been on a role play server before? Nothing beats it I tell ya and the community here is as strong and thriving as ever.

Awesome!:)

Be sure to start a new thread introducing yourself and that you're new etc. You'll get more then a handful of ppl willing to help you out and come to learn the ropes and get to know the world. I'm telling you you're going to love it once you've gotten the hang of things.

Since bastards in GameSpy cut the support for NWN2 many a year ago, online community has organised itself and managed to get things running again:

http://www.nwnlist.com/ - this is the list of available servers for NWN2 (and, by the way, for original NWN), complete with their IP numbers; on that page is also a NWN2 client extension (LINK: http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Download.php?id=169006), which you need for an in-game list of available servers - or, if you don't want to dabble in that, you can just see the IP number of a server you and your mate want to play on and type it as the "direct connect" option.

Once you and your friend are on the server, you can both look for other people, ask for help and, of course, form separate parties. Beware tho, a lot of RP servers take RP seriously.
