Hope someone can help me out here.
The windows event log shows first time it happened was in july last year. Then it has only happened like once a month. Now it happens more often but it can be 5 days with no freeze or it can freeze two days in row.
The error. You can see there was no freeze from 19.2. up to 4.3.

I have tried some things and will test the ram today. I will be looking at the temps to see if it's overheating but i doubt it.

Hmm several things can cause this issue. Overclocked CPU or GPU, a bad driver, overheating CPU (check temps and make sure all fans are still working properly), faulty RAM, dying PSU, buggy software, etc.

Do you notice any trends or patterns? Are you stressing your PC out when it occurs or is it completely random?

Hmm i have not overclocked anything. Seems to happen more often when i am playing Hearthstone(and destroys my arena run) which i don't do very often. Also when playing warcraft 3 with tunngle, which i rarely do as well. I don't remember ever freezing while playing Exanima for example. Might just be luck.

I tried disabling sound drivers(Nvidia HD Audio/Nvidia virtual audio device). I use realtek hd audio. I haven't really changed any drivers since i have this pc though, as far as i remember.

Hopefully it is not the ram, will be watching the temps and see how it goes.

Hi,

sorry to intrude but since I'm experiencing something similar I thought I would post in this thread rather than opening a new one.

First: my desktop if 4 years old. Second: I experienced the problem I'm about to describe in other games besides the combat beta. So it's not game-specific. Third: the problem happens very occasionally. Last Summer I played the combat beta almost everyday for a month and I only experienced the problem twice. Last weekend I played the demo for two days and I also experienced the problem twice.

Problem: it starts with sound lag. The sound turns into some sort of elongated digital noise. If you go to 1:26-1:27 and 2:06 in this video, you can hear an example:

If I try to keep playing despite the sound lag, the noise gets longer and louder. At some point I start to experience general lag and, soon afterwards, I get a blue screen of death or the computer simply restarts itself. Upon restarting, I get notification of the following error message: BCCode: 124

All this happened with the default drivers the PC came with. I tried installing newer drivers but those created several graphical glitches when playing the combat demo so I reverted to my old ones.

Do you think this problem can be related to the hardware?
I have an i7930 not overclocked. 6GB of RAM and a 58701GB with default drivers. The computer is as I said 4 years old.

Thank you in advance for any help!
