So I love an unforgiving game however completely losing my character and starting from the beginning every time I die is really wearing on me.

Not sure what to tell you about that. I have died hundreds of times, sometimes at level one, sometimes at level three. I just start over and play again. Every single new game is new. I have never had the same game twice. Yes the map is the same but the AI is not. Always makes for a new experience.

I agree, this all goes back to the lack of a save function.

well, the replayability will increase alot when the skill system is added, ai behavior updated more, dialog system implemented and more content is added after lvl 3. and thx to the checkpoint that will be added you wont have to do the 3 lvls again unless you start a new character as i understand it. this is a role playing game where what you do might have consequences and the consequences matter, a manual save/load would ruin this.

Yea if I had skills that were continually increasing as I was playing it wouldnt be so bad.
