I sometimes come across this arena and I have to forfeit because I'm completely blind while the enemy can see me.
I downscaled the image so I could upload it. You can see in the right bottom half that you can see atleast a part of the arena. So you can see it is not a bug that turns off the screen or something.
Atleast it is not game braking as far as I know.
