Random advertising?

So im getting these random advertises whenever i go on the Sui Generis forum. Just wondered if anyone else sees this too, or if its something I've done? Not a big deal, just wanted to clarify.

no, i dont get them. you might have a bad extension or toolbar installed, or a virus.

That is very strange indeed. I mean, i formatted my entire Computer just two days ago, so i doubt I've already gotten myself a virus. Haven't been on any potential hazardous sites either (That i know of). Thanks for the replies anyways, i know now that the problem is on my end.

Nothing on my part. Is it pop-ups or text being highlighted and directing you to adds?

It was texts. However, i fiddled a bit through the settings on Google Chrome, disabled a few things etc. and now its gone. I find it quite weird however, because i only experienced it on the Sui Generis forum. Certainly some random fail on my part. Well, no matter. It's fixed now, and it was my own fault. Thanks for the responses anyways
