NO worries, we have all done it. This game however is not like any other game, you will see, don't give up, if ya get frustrated, just take a break and come back to it laterThx murf, went through the guide, perhaps being impatient, I reckon
LOL, I spent at least 10 minutes in that room before I figured it out I read the scroll and assumed the door was locked and I need to find a way out (behind boxes etc).Starting room, cant exit, do not see any useable items lying about.
What am I missing?
I am still having trouble with this (4-5 hours in). I get further with two-handed sword than anything else, I think it's the reach advantage.Yeah, I'd suggest doing what I did:
1. Play in the starting room to get a handle for the controls, both in combat and peace modes (what I call them).
2. Conquer the Novice arena.
Yeah, I was told the 2h sword is the best "noob" weapon, and overall it is the best weapon. So far, it's the only one I can clear both arenas without using armor and without taking damage.LOL, I spent at least 10 minutes in that room before I figured it out I read the scroll and assumed the door was locked and I need to find a way out (behind boxes etc).

Do you have any tips? Like for example, how you approach each enemy, what tactics you use, what you've noticed about them etc. What would be ideal is a video of it, with key moments paused, annotated, etc.
My current tactic is to step back to maintain a safe range then lunge and swing. I would really rather something a bit more consistent, however.
