My biggest problem with Steam is that, by their TOS, all you're really doing is kind of renting from them. If your Steam account is banned for whatever reason or something similar, any game that requires the Steam wrapper to run (Skyrim) is inaccessible, and you can't legitimately do anything...

The best fun is always the least advisable. :)
