How do the combat controls work?

Hi!

Ever since I heard about this game, I have been wondering how the combat controls will work.
Do you move your mouse to swing the weapon? Are there other ways to attack, for example by pressing a key or clicking, maybe?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's WASD to move, and clicking is attack (I think both left click and right click have different attacks)

I've still got one question; Does the magic thing have a cooldown or does it require some "energy"?

By "magic thing" are you referring to thaumaturgy? If so then it is determined by your focus and several other things. Madoc has explained a bit about how it works already. If you read the thread that lists all the dev posts found HERE it'll answer a lot of common questions.
