I wanted to know more about how the progression system will work in this game. Does a player acquire points to place into desired skills and/or attributes? Does progression entail a levelling system? I remember something about players having to use certain skills, and these skills strengthen the more they are used. But, is their any more complexity added to it?

I also want to express a concern I have. You are boasting a seamless and large open world (at least what the engine is capable of). However, Sacred 2 also achieved a large and open world, but due to the size and scope of the game, progression fell behind. I would barely get half way through Sacred 2 by the time I ran out of new spells and skills to discover, leaving progression to advancing known skills and finding new loot only. I found this quiet dull and soon after became bored. I hope you take the size of the world and the game itself into consideration when working with the progression system. It would be great to be able to explore all the world has to offer, and still feel that I am progressing consistently.

The devs have said that you'll not discover everything there is on a single playthrough (discovering and figuring things out is part of the story, how much you figure out is up to you). They've also said it will be possible to play using the same character on a different playthrough, which I'm guessing means that world events will have changed drastically enough that you'd want to do so. Also, some world events will occur whether or not you're involved.

If you search the forums they've made several posts about how skill progression works already (at least a general idea was given, not all the specifics). ;)
