Purple clouds on hit (Bug)

Last couple of times I've played the practice arena I get purple geometric clouds appearing on successful strikes emanating from the hit points. Reloading the game seems to cure it. I did alt tab the game beforehand so that my be responsible. I'm guessing its maybe a malfunction of the blood effects.

In my experience alt-tabbing has always caused some graphical issues in the game that went away after some time. Not sure why or how this happens though.

Perhaps the game's cache or something gets filled up, killing memory, and disallowing loading of assets/textures?

In my case altabing would make me greatly lose fps (not allways). Nothing else as far as i could see.
