The first instance of this, I bought a shield for my next rank- I was closed to ranking up, so I figured it could sit tight for a match or two. Then, coming to equip it a little while later, it was no where to be found. Not in any inventory, not in the group inventory, not equipped to any character. Very strange, but I moved on.
Then again, just a few minutes ago. I bought a shield, and successfully equipped it to a character. After using it for a few matches, I was adjusting said character's gear and noticed the shield didn't appear in the 'other items' box- even though the character had it in his hand. I dragged it from the character to the other items box, which had all of his equipped gear, and the shield vanished.
