I don´t. I did not mean basic as in easy to program, but basic as a thing any human being would be able to do with a weapon. I don´t mind things like ripostes or half-swording taking time to implement and polish, but thrusting a weapon isn´t exactly a master technique.
I´m just afraid that combat may feel drastically different as soon as thrusts are implemented, which may make a lot of the testing and fine-tuning that is done now moot. As a drastic example, who cares if parries are now 100% reliable to deflect swings and overheads if the same motion which blocks these would fail to defend from a thrust half the time?
