What happens if Kickstarter fails?

It sounds like you need someone who's not "you" (in the legal sense) to help you out. Could you fund, say, your mother with the paypal money, and then ask her to fund the kickstarter?

If Kick Starter fails, is there any way you can incorporate Amazon/Google Payments. I rather dislike paypal, and I know quite a few others who share the feeling.

You might get more people that way.

Good suggestion. There are lots of options open to us if KS does happen to fail. Cross that bridge when we come to it though.

To be honest I'm not sure, probably, at least to some degree anyway. Also, most donate via paypal is because they have some issue with Kickstarter.

There's always the legalities, yeah. Depends on whether Kickstarter wants to be a jerk because you'll have circumvented their policy, or if they want to be awesome because you'll have done it for the right reasons.
